Dana is a PhD candidate in Public Policy and Demography at the University of Texas at Austin. She is a NICHD Pre-Doctoral fellow at the University of Texas Population Research Center and a 2021 Emerging Scholar in Family Planning. Prior to graduate school, she was a grassroots organizer for a reproductive rights organization in the upper Midwest. She grew up in Wisconsin, received her BA in Sociology and Social Work from the University of Minnesota, and got her Master’s in Public Affairs at the University of Texas. Her work has appeared in the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the American Journal of Public Health, and Perspectives on Sexual and Reproductive Health, among other places.
