We are delighted to announce that Claire Mawisa, a South African media personality and a Director at Luminosity Lab, has joined Ibis’s Board of Directors as a member at large. Claire is an investigative journalist at Carte Blanche, one of South Africa’s flagship magazine and actuality programmes. Claire’s areas of focus include media training, life skills coaching, and public speaking training. In addition to these areas, as a World Wide Fund for Nature South Africa Ambassador she also facilitates various empowerment workshops, such as Code Teen, Girlology, and Me Only Better through Luminosity Lab. The organization’s partnership with Karen Burt saw interactive symposia with over 100,000 young women take place across high school, tertiary, and corporate environments nationally. In May 2020, Claire attended her first Ibis Board meeting. Please join us in welcoming Claire!
