September 5, 2007 – Ibis was awarded a grant from the Society of Family Planning to study women’s experiences with abortion self-induction in San Francisco, Boston, and New York City. The study will use a mixed-methods approach to better understand this phenomenon, as well as to highlight the barriers that low-income women and women of color—especially Latinas—face in accessing abortion services in the US. Ibis will partner with Gynuity Health Projects to perform the portion of the study in New York.
