Ibis Vice President for Research Dan Grossman pens op-ed for LA Times

June 2015

Ibis Vice President for Research Dan Grossman recently wrote an op-ed for the LA Times on the two new bills that were introduced in the Senate to encourage an over-the-counter birth control pill, including the legislation by Senator Kelly Ayotte (R-NH) and Senator Cory Gardner (R-CO) aimed at encouraging a pharmaceutical company to submit an application for an OTC switch (albeit with an unnecessary age restriction), and the legislation by Senator Patty Murray (D-WA) aimed at codifying insurance coverage for a future OTC pill. In this op-ed, Dr. Grossman aimed to move beyond the politics of these bills, and to instead explore the impact that they would have on women.
