My Body, My Choice Day of Action

Ibis was proud to be a partner of the #MyBodyMyChoice campaign in South Africa, led by Global Health Strategies. The campaign aims to draw attention to the key barriers to safe abortion using social and community media channels.
 
The campaign held a day of action and march in Johannesburg on September 28, which marks the International Day for Safe Abortion, including the reading and handing over of a petition to the South African government. The petition outlines the Choice on Termination of Pregnancy Act, some of the barriers to safe abortion and other sexual and reproductive health services, and a list of requests for improved access to care.
