Louisiana Maternal Health Access Project (LAM(h)P)

What is this study about?

Researchers from Ibis Reproductive Health are conducting a study to understand how the sexual and reproductive health policy environment (Ex. SB276) impacts maternal health care within the state. Eligible participants will take a brief survey that takes about 5 minutes to complete. The survey will include questions on your background and experience providing maternal health care. Eligible participants will complete a 90-minute interview with a researcher at Ibis. If you complete the interview, you will receive a $100 gift card.

 

Why is this study being done?

The goal of this study is to help advocates and policymakers understand how the sexual and reproductive health policy environment impacts maternal health care within the state. This research study is especially designed to understand the experience of people who provide care and/or support people capable of pregnancy.

 

Who can participate in this study?

To participate you must:

  • Currently provide care directly to people who are capable of pregnancy or work in a hospital or healthcare facility that provides care
  • Speak English
  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Have two or more years’ experience working as a provider or healthcare professional in the state of Louisiana
  • Be able to provide informed consent
