Sexual health misconceptions and their possible sources

November 2009

Based on research analyzing emails submitted to “Not-2-Late.com,” Ibis and colleagues have developed a set of tools for clinicians to use with patients to clarify common sexual misconceptions. Patient handouts in ArabicFrenchChineseEnglish, and Spanish cover the most commonly asked questions and misconceptions expressed in more than 1,100 emails sent to The Emergency Contraception Website, a website providing medically accurate information about emergency contraception, during the study period. In addition, a summary of the study is available through The Female Patient.
