As the Associate Communications Director at Ibis, Yevanit splits her time supporting Ibis’s global communications and the Free the Pill campaign. Prior to Ibis, Yevanit studied international development and global health at the University of California, Berkeley, where she conducted her Master’s capstone project with Advocates for Youth’s Youth Abortion Support Collective (YouthASC) and worked as a communications consultant for the Rwanda Health Initiative for Youth & Women and the Center for Effective Global Action (CEGA). Prior to graduate school, she served as a Youth and Family Development Specialist in the Peace Corps in Ecuador, and previously managed communications and development at Youth & Opportunity United in Evanston, IL. She holds a Master of Arts in Development Practice from UC Berkeley, and Bachelor of Arts in Comparative Literature and Latin American Studies from the University of Chicago.
